My humble little blog is one year old. Who'd have thought I'd have enough drivel to fill a whole year full of posts (this is rhetorical so zip it)? I've just been reading my very first post and it's bought it all back to me in one of them Proustian rushes, but without the dunking.
I'd made Jon some white chocolate and raspberry blondies for his birthday and delivered them to his office as a surprise. He tweeted his one zillion followers that they were nice and a plan was hatched. I can't be bothered with all that "so what have I learned" stuff but I will say that I've enjoyed the last year loads. The cakes have changed, the tasters have changed but the posts have remained the same - a seamless blend of baking, Beckham, all things Seventies and more than the odd mention of Jon, the best ever cyber egg-er on-er.

I'm going to try and squeeze in one last cake for the southern testers in the next few weeks in between wrapping my nick-nacks in newspaper. I'm hoping my new northern taste cadets (yep, got some likely ones cued up) will be as lovely as the southern ones. So watch this space. Actually don't. It might be weeks before I return. But if you insist on hanging around, run a duster over the place once in a while would you?
