And the comments:
"boring comment I know but 'I liked it'"
"excellent"
"delicious…again!"
"fine, nice, thanks, normal but nice"
"moist, very nice"
"jolly good, nice and fresh taste"
"jolly good"
"too heavy"
"to die for"
At least I didn't get another 'disappointing' - I know... just let go of the bone!
I'd sum this up as a nice cake but not one to set the baking world on fire. I might tinker with it a bit in the privacy of my own kitchen. Perhaps try making some 'I'm a giant' versions. Or maybe even make one that looks like a massive sandwich. But surely that's just madness. I mean, what could you bake it in to achieve such an illusion? Oh hang on...

I am beyond help.

Far be it for me to disagree with an expert.
If it's any consolation I'd be just as bad if I had the money. Only yesterday I was looking for my ancient cheese grater (unsuccessfully, but I'm sure it's hiding somewhere) when I cam across an el cheapo version of a mandolin that I don't even remember buying. I've probably got enough 'surplus' gadgets to open my own shop.
That's part of the problem Mike - I don't have the money!
I think we all have those "bargain" gadgets in the back of the cupboard. Worse are the things that really cost. I remember a juicer I had which was such a swine to clean, it got hidden away for years until the guilt subsided and I was able to throw it away!
I think there's a support group...
That reminds me, I have actually thrown away one gadget in my life. I bought one of those vegetable chopper thingies which consist of a set of parallel blades which rotate slightly as you push them down. It did a wonderful job but its one major design fault was that it didn't come apart for cleaning so I could never get it properly clean.
BTW I found my cheese grater this morning. I suddenly remembered that I have a habit of hiding things I don't use at the back of the pantry. Sure enough, there it was sat on top of a couple of empty sweet tins. I've now 'promoted' it back to one of the kitchen cupboards so that it's handy for next time I need it.
Ohh, I think that there is a support group. They can be seen walking back and forth, back and forth outside the door of the shop, battling the urge to go in and rifle the baking aisles.. I've been there Barnes, and it's not a good place to be.
It's a sordid place Table. However, there doesn't seem to be a formal support group. Perhaps we should put the formation of such on the list...?
