It's a wonderful... cake!

Well, how chuffed am I? Results have just arrived and I couldn't be more giddy. Feast your mince pies on these little beauties:

And the comments:

"BEST YET"
"GORGEOUS"
"LOVELY, NICE ALMONDY CRUNCHY TOUCH"
"VERY TASTY DARK CHOCOLATE"

"MMMM…!!"
"VERY GOOD SOFT/CRUNCHY CONTRAST"
"LOVELY TASTE, LIGHT FLUFFY"
"AMAZING, BEST ONE SO FAR"
"SOFT SPONGE, PERFECT QUANTITY OF CHOCOLATE"
"PERFECT COMBO CHOC+ORANGE, NICE & SOFT"

Aving it, big time!

So that's it for 2012, and a top way to see the cake year out.

I'm heading off northwards tomorrow on a Virgin Pendolino Sleigh to make the family suffer my Christmas ipod playlist not to mention making the sister's Kitchenaid beg for mercy.

Before I do one, this is what Christmas means to me - the sister, a bottle of Baileys, a bloody great box of tissues, and this... (WARNING: @recipejunkie27 and @TalkingTable, look away now. THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE HERE)

No man is a failure who has friends.

Have a cool yule. And thanks for reading :)

Here's to lassoing the moon, Zuzu's petals, and Clarence Odbody the 2nd class angel, sis. Cake sounded top too, so kitchenaid is already for you!

Sob. I used up all my tissues watching last tango in halifax t'other night. How far north do you go??

But seriously, chocolate, orange and almond sponge - you thought someone might not like it? Sounds like my idea of utter heaven cake.

Have a great Christmas, Barnes - will look forward to more stunning cakes in the New Year

I'd get more tissue supplies in if you're chancing It's a Wonderful Life. I'm in bits everytime I watch it - proper wracking sobs!

I'm going as far as Manchester - my northern passport won't allow me further :)

You have a great Christmas too RJ. Hope you'll be back on the gin in no time :)
